Unwin’s new Seat Locker takes another step forward by offering an even easier to use option.

Unwin seat fixtures used in conjunction with Unwin Rail or Innotrax already enable a vehicle layout to be easily modified from fully seated to wheelchair accessible within minutes.  Seating systems can greatly improve a vehicle layout by offering flexible seat configuration.

Safety and ease of use are key requirements and the new Unwin Seat Locker offers a completely new design with significant improvements to vehicle convertors and to end-users, particularly the community transport market.

The Unwin Seat Locker is a device that locks the seat legs into a vehicle’s floor tracking. Its main purpose is to add flexibility to a vehicle’s seating configuration.  As the category’s premium solution, the Unwin Seat Locker is a discreet, low-built lockable, engineered to be rattle free.

The new lockable features a single operation to secure the seat into place. This can be done using the foot, making it quick and simple.  That means single-handed operation and an easy, self-locating “slot-in” mechanism.

No adjustments are required when locating the Unwin Seat Locker into the rail, whether it is Innotrax, a low-profile, or surface rail, that is thanks to the improved design and the patented clamping system that ensures easy actuation of the Unwin Seat Locker into the rail.  The new lockable fits any rail currently on the market with scallops at one inch (25.4mm) centre to centre.

Function and reliability might be at the top of the list but Unwin engineers also gave the new Unwin Seat Locker a modern look.  Its sleek and discreet profile blends in well with the interior of a modern vehicle and is available in two colours, black and silver grey to match seat legs.

The Unwin Seat Locker fits seats from all manufacturers, making it a truly flexible solution.

As with all Unwin products, the Unwin Seat Locker has been fully tested in the company’s own dynamic laboratory and meets M2 and M1 vehicle requirements.
